Lionel and MTH O Scale Train Layout - 4'x7' Completely Redesigned

Here is the video you were waiting for... I completely redesigned my previous 4 x 8 foot layout to make a 4 x 7 foot layout. I also finally put it on a table and routed all the wiring to be more efficient. I am now running one oval of Lionel O36 Fastrack powered by a MTH Z1000 ZController. The Lionel, MTH, and Plasticville buildings are powered by 2 Lionel CW-80 Transformers. M&Ms Trolley is from MTH #30-4191. Most of the figures are Lionel Pewter Hand-painted sets. Disney figures and vehicles are from random sources. Curved tunnel is Model Power #6091. Steam Engine is MTH Tinplate Traditions #10-3002-1 plus 800 Series Freight Set #10-1042. My N Scale Japanese Model Railway Phase Three

Here is my most recent video of my N Scale Japanese Model Railway Layout that I am slowly building. As you may see, more progress has been made on the trackwork as the train yard is nearly complete. The Layout is named as "Sakai" as it modelled in the Kansai Prefecture in Japan near Osaka. There is two signal box towers on the layout with one overlooking the yard near the level crossing and the other one is "disused" at the station. When I get some cork sheets, I intend to board up the windows on this signal tower to make look more authentic. There is only two trains in the sidings as I am currently changing the trains around for the "Spring" timetable, these are a Dapol Class 153 in East Midlands Trains livery and the other train is a British Steel Class 60 numbered as 60006 by Bachmann Graham Farish. I just need one more point for the yard and its complete. The two shorter sidings will host the planned depot for the locomotives that are allocated to Sakai while the longer sidings will house the mutiple units and the railcars that are longer than three cars. Other details are that there is two road plates near the level crossing as I am using these for evaluation purposes on the layout for the town and for the road vehicles to make the town more interesting. These road plates are made by Cars Workshop and they came with the Dennis Trident Bus that is in the KMB livery (this is the gold coloured bus in the video), the Bus Stop and the Traffic Lights that are shown on the <b>...</b> |

CN DASH 9 pulls GATX TankTrain Tank Cars from Lionel Canadian National General Electric DASH 9 Diesel-Electric Locomotive model with RailSounds and TrainMaster Command Control. GATX TankTrain Tank Cars in the 2000's CN scheme and the original TankTrain scheme from the late 1970's and 1980's. Lionel made a very limited run of very few road numbers of the GATX TankTrain Tank Cars. There is an end-of-train device with a flashing red light on the last tank car. The grade crossing lights are from MTH RailKing. The two-story brick buildings are from Walthers. The 3-Rail, solid rail O Gauge railroad track is from Atlas O. |

2 other layouts on display at the 2010 Midland Park Show. The first one is a multi-gauge layout with O and S Gauge Trains called the "Push Button Layout" because of all of the accessories activated by the push of a button such as the Lionel Log Loader and track gang. An MTH Railking Pennsylvania Railroad Starter set and a Williams Reading GP7 are the O gauge trains. An American Models Amtrak F40PH and Superliner Cars are running on the S Gauge loop. The other layout is a small On30 (O Gauge Narrow Gauge) running on a layout with numerous Dept. 56 buildings. |
